What are GrainBridge Reports?

Last Updated: Jun 24, 2014 01:49AM CDT
The application can generate three different kinds of reports: Risk Management, Plan, and What-If Analysis.
These reports are time and date stamped, making them perfect for record keeping, tracking your portfolio, and planning with banks, brokers, and co-ops.
Reports can be emailed or printed to PDFs. If you are using the application on a tablet, you can save reports directly to your tablet. (See the links for running these reports below to learn how to do this.)

The Risk Management Report provides a summary of your selected crop and livestock profiles. These summaries include a comprehensive revenue summary that includes your targets and goals and shows how your actual production compared to  your targets. This also includes more detailed breakdowns of your operation's performance on cash sales, futures, and options.
Risk Management reports allow you to pick and choose which particular profiles you would like to include in the report.

The Plan Reports provide a summary of your entire operation's Plan that you created for this crop year.
While the Risk Management report shows how your actual revenues stacked up against your set target goals, the Plan Report provides a summary of your Plan that generated those targets. These include your expenses, incomes, profit goals, breakevens, and target goals.
The Plan Report is not run on individual profiles; it is on your whole Plan.

The What-If Analysis reports allow you to "stress test" your business. This is to say that this particular report gives users the ability to plug several variables into their operation's current plan to see how changes in these variables will affect their profitability. These variables are Chicago Board of Trade prices (Board prices), Yield, Insurance Price, and Basis Price.
You may change a single variable or you may change all of them at once. What-If Reports will show how these changes affect your profits for each crop and livestock profile you selected and how that compares to where your commodities are currently sitting at.
